BURNING IS NOT TANNING! 
A tan should be acquired gradually. A sunburn occurs when too much ultraviolet light reaches the skin and disrupts the tiny blood vessels near the skins surface.
If you want to obtain a deep dark tan, you should be tanning short session, 3-4 times a week, to build a deeper, darker, golden tan.
When maintaining a tan, most people can hold onto their color by tanning 1-2 times every 7-10 days.

WE DO NOT OPERATE ON A SELF SERVICE BASIS. WE SET & CONTROL YOUR TANNING TIME AS WELL AS TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR DISINFECTING& SANITIZING ALL TANNING UNITS.
Your First Visit
All new tanners will be asked to fill out a simple questionaire to determine skin type and tanning time. We will show you what tan package options you have to choose from and help you choose a good tanning schedule. We, the salon owners/operators will determine your tanning time. Also you receive a FREE New Tanner Sample pack which includes: Lotion samples & moisturizer samples. We will then show you how the tanning equipment works.
Natures Skin Protection:
Much has been researched and written about the positive effects of the sun, such as, boosting vitamin D and calcium for strong bones & other feel good effects. reduces PMS and Seasonal depression therapy.
1. DRINK WATER:
Our bodies hydrate from the inside and the outside.If you are dehydrated then the skin will feel the effect most. DRY SKIN WILL NOT TAN.
2. USE A GOOD MOISTURIZER:
The more moisture rich you keep your skin, the better you will tan and the better your skin will look – both short term and as you grow older.
3. THROW OUT BAR SOAP:
Skin has a delicate pH balance between alkaline and acid of 5.5. When you clean your skin with regular soaps (including most liquid soaps) you upset the delicate balance of your skin and strip off our acid mantle which is designed to keep us free from bad bacteria and germs.
4. 2 BIG NO-NO'S
ONE CAFFEINE can be dehydrating. Anything that dehydrates your body is a tanning enemy. Remember that your skin is the first to get dehydrated and the last to get hydrated so when you drink that soda or coffee your skin is the first to feel the effect and your tan will suffer.
TWO ALCOHOL works the same on your body as caffeine. Dehydration is the enemy of your skin and will cause faster aging and lessen the ability to tan.
5.SAY "NO" TO CIGS
Cigarettes. Your skin needs oxygen to tan and to look good. When someone smokes, it cuts off the supply of oxygen to your skin and it just doesn’t tan as well as it could. It can also lead to faster aging of the skin, dryness, wrinkles and fine lines. Skin is a finely tuned organ and needs both hydration and oxygen to perform its functions properly. That includes being able to produce a healthy looking tan. IFyou must smoke and you want a great tan, wait an hour both before and after tanning to have that cigarette.
6. EAT FOODS RICH IN ANTIOXIDANTS
They nourish every cell in your body and help stop disease and aging.
7. EXFOLIATE
regular exfoliation of your skin will help your skin look and feel healthier. Healthy skin also tans better and will stay tan longer. Our skin replaces itself approximately once every month. When skin is not exfoliated regularly the dead skin builds up and can look grey and ashy. It can also block the UV light which may keep you from tanning as well as you could.
8. USE A SALON RECOMMENDED INDOOR TANNING LOTION
YES IT REALLY DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE!! Using a professional INDOOR tanning lotion can give you up to 75% better results than tanning with no lotion. It give your skin a final moisture drink just prior to tanning and loads minerals and vitamins into your skin so it can tan at its best.
BEWARE - many drug and convenience stores are now selling their own “indoor” lotions. Be a wise shopper and remember that your results matter to us. We are here to make sure you achieve the best tan and have great skin, too. We don’t settle for inferior products so that you always use the best. ALSO - never use lotions designed for outdoor use when tanning indoors. No SPF’s needed!
9.THERE REALLY IS A DIFFERENCE IN TANNING EQUIPMENT
Different equipment, different lamps, how often is maintenance done, how often is thorough cleaning done, are the lamps changed when they are supposed to be changed, is the interior of the equipment kept dust free, what are the quality of the lamps? REMEMBER, the lowest priced tan usually isn’t the best tan. We have kept a clean, well maintained salon since JULY 2001. We care about you, your tan and your skin and strive to the highest possible standard for a salon. We use excellent lamps and we maintain our equipment very well. We offer 3 different types of equipment with a variety of lamps and session times to make sure you achieve the best tan possible.Mix it up a bit. Do you always tan in a lay down bed? Then upgrade your session to the SunDazzler stand up bed next time!
10. SMART TANNING IS TAKING IT SLOW AND EASY & FREQUENCY COUNTS
Tanning is NOT a race. We recommend tanning 2 – 3 times per week or every other day to build a beautiful golden tan. Remember to use a high quality salon lotion.
When you follow these 10 steps to a better tan not only will you have a fabulous, healthy looking tan but in addition your skin will be very healthy and you can look younger than your years!
